  1. Your action research plan is very well put together. It is clear, concise and easy to follow. I am not sure if this is correct or not, but I thought we should have our means of evaluating each step in the evaluation column. But regardless it looks great.

    1. Thanks for your comments. For the evaluation part, I wasn't too sure how to evaluate my action, so I left it blank. I will revise all that soon.

  2. I was thinking exactly the same thing. It is very easy to follow. I remember in one my undergraduate class at Sam Houston State we had an integrating technology in the classroom course. This course allowed you to become familiar with technology programs out there and the use of them. You would be surprised at how many there are and how much your students love them. New technology is coming out every day. My goal is always to find those free programs and partnerships then make those available to my staff and colleagues. Also, we created our own website and I have been doing that every year since. It is a great way for parent communication and ways to reinforce information to students and then allow them to participate. They love access to educational games etc. We also compiled a list of technology programs for our methods mentor. The teachers appreciated it. Sometimes you become so busy, it is practical to have it there compiled for you. I hope to also update this list and expand it. We also had to incorporate some form of technology into all our lesson plans even if it was small. This really prepared me. You would be surprised at how many educators are not familiar with these and I think your action research with help them and educate them. It can also open up many doors to help increase student performance. Great Job!

    1. thank you for sharing all that you do at your school with technology. You seem very knowledgeable about this topic. My biggest motivation to conduct this research is to capture students' interest. Students these days get easily distracted and bored and that in turn affects their grades and attitude towards math in my case. I want to be able to help kids through different means, and hopefully technology is my answer.

  3. You may also want to gather a focus group comprised of math students to survey their feelings towards of their math courses before and after the implementation of your action research plan to assess the motivation aspect of your plan.
    I can recall hating math in high school and feeling hopeless because the course relied heavily upon a textbook that was hard to understand. Consequently, I didn't excel in mathematics, but probably would have had there been other efforts to appeal to my senses. Good luck in your endeavors!

    1. Thanks for your input. I will take your recommendation into consideration. I would love to know what my students think about their current experiences in their math class. Part of the survey I may ask for suggestions as to what they think will help them both in their motivation and performance.

    Do you have any specific technology tools that you want to impement? I know that the use of iPads in school is really helping with math skills since it has so many apps that students can use to learn. Keep us posted.. good luck.
